Commercial Description:
The (512) India Pale Ale is a big, aggressively dry hopped American IPA with smooth bitterness (~65 IBU) balanced by medium maltiness. 100% US malted grains, loads of hops, and great Austin water create an ale with apricot and vanilla aromatics that lure you in for more.

Growler thanks to thirdeye11. The smell is grapefuits, citrus, fruits, caramel, pine, and good. The look is amber in color with an off white head. The taste is hops, nice bitterness level, fruits, and nice.

Growler thanks to thirdeye11. Pours with a copper body and a large tan head. Aroma is quite hoppy with some pine needles, mango, apricot and earth. Taste is really nice with caramel and a nice hoppy, pine like punch. Light bubbles. Really a solid IPA! Quite drinkable!

From draft at the Austin Flying Saucer on October 24, 2009. (512) IPA has a slightly cloudy amber color, an almost smoky moderate hop aroma, and a thin, silky, soapy head. With clean hop flavor with hints of light pit fruit, this beer is extremely pleasant, great as an every day drink.

Had on tap at a random bar with Cavie while visiting Texas. The beer had a nice flowery aroma, but I get diacetyl.

had at lovejoys before jetting .. . pours a dark golden color ...very nice bracing hop kick on the first few sips...uh, nice review bgthang?.... sweetness is spot on, and this beer coats the mouth wonderfully ... very tasty stuff, from honey to pine to even pineapple .. . full and refreshing at the same time while still pretty big and complex.. .
