Nice aroma of fruit and malt (thank you Forbidden Fruit yeast!!)! It doesn’t taste like 8% so it goes down easy. Nice Belgian characteristics all-around. I’d drink another...or three. travita (1970), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 18, 2009 Served by Rebecca at Flying Saucer in Austin. Xander tagging along. So this is their anniversary saison! Cloudy amber, looks tasty! Middle is dark and brownish, top/bottom (thinner) is more orange. Thin, soapy head. Aroma of yeast and soap. Flavor... lot like a homebrew, what you taste when you get a mouthful while siphoning. Not very lively in the mouth, a liitle flat. Subdued, muddy palate. Easy to drink, that’s for certain. Nice lacing though.
Smells like a brewpub beer, tastes like a homebrew. Further drinks taste surprisingly sweet. Nice balance. Nothing worse (almost) than an oversweetened saison. Additional sips taste increasingly more Belgian. ericandersnavy (1141), crossroads, Texas, USA
