KyotoLefty (306), Kyoto, Japan Aug 27, 2008 Drank several times at the brewpub in 2006. The best lager I had in Austria. An amber, Vienna-type beer, with rich amber malt flavor but a good deal of hopping to back it up. Rich and flavorful yet refreshing and very drinkable. Top-rate stuff. Comments: An absolutely delicious and underrated märzen. Superbly extracted and evolving Vienna malts. Foamy, expanding carbonation. Soft, floral, suave hops. Marvellously balanced, strongly toasty, yet dry and without any diacetyl. Dried cookies in glorious shape. Fresh, grainy, pure. Awesome stuff.

Dark amber with dense head. Medium dry. Rounded, soft and chewy maltiness. Balanced, salty finish. A top quality märzen! pivnizub (4007), Porúří, Germany Jul 21, 2008 On draught at the brewpub: hazy, lively carbonation, reddish-amber coloured, very stable, very persistent big off-white head; sweet Saaz hops cover a delicate toasted-malty base in the aroma; solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, soft MF; sweet toasted-malty finish with a very good dash of aromatic Saaz hops. Gorgeous brew......... Geiserich (1555), Vienna, Austria Jul 29, 2004 Sampled draught at the brewpub
amber color, off-white head. Aroma is fruity and light malty. Flavor is smooth and creamy, malty but not sweet. Finish with few hop bitterness.
