Served in a 12oz. snifter. Sweet aroma of burnt sugar and spicy, green, leafy hops with hints of apple and pear. Deep mahogany color with a thick, fine, lasting off-white head. This apparently unique beer’s flavor is sweet, bready and fruity, again a sweet, pear-like flavor permeates along with suggestions of maple sugar and earthy, spicy hops. Some gentle woodiness on the finish, which is otherwise fruity, sweet and lightly bitter. Clean profile. Medium-full body and sticky palate. Mildly complex, overall character is rich and full. Interesting and worthwhile selection.
