| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 7, 2009 A lightly hazed golde ale with a thick creamy off white head. In aroma, an intriguing herbal mix, with catnip and light Brett and barnyard. In mouth, an Orval like offering, with good herbal Brett, sustained mineral notes, Belgian hops, very wild and pleasing. Rich, complex and earthy. On tap at St-Bock, Nov. 1 2009. Earlier Rating: 10/17/2009 Total Score: 3.5 A golden ale with a thin white head. A pleasant hops aroma, fruity esters, very light coirander and orange pulp. In mouth, a delicious IPA with light floral hops, good herbal notes, a bit of sage. Quite nice. On tap at Fête Bieres et Saveurs, Sept. 4 2009. Glouglouburp (2887), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 22, 2009 In short: A clean and crisp Belgian golden ale with a truckload of grapefruity and grassy American hops. Tasty and very good.
How: Tap at Chambly Beer Festival 2009
The look: Clear golden body topped by a medium off-white head
In long: Strong nose of tangy and spicy hops. A adequate malted body with a basic dry slightly toasted bread leaving the hops take center stage. Grapefruits, burnt grass, dry oranges, dry pineapples. This is a very bitter and very astringent ale. Intense but refreshing nonetheless. The beer is crisp and the hops dominate so much that this tasted like an American IPA more than anything else. I’ve always found À La Fût brews to range from decent to good and this 2nd Anniversary beer is the first beer I truly find very good. It took two years but they really made a good one. And I’m still holding up hopes on my girlfriend cooking.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 15, 2009 My Bottom Line:
Grapefruity, spicy and resinous hops proliferate in this Belgian-style Ale hopped à la Americana, while honeyed cereals support this expressive display of flavor and bitterness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam laces atop the clear pale amber.
-This, like all À La Fût, is super clean and very drinkable.
-The hop bitterness is very lengthy, perhaps too much so if balance was aimed for.
-While the malts are straightforward in their flavor apport, the hops are multifaceted.
On tap at the brewery and at Brouhaha. punkska101 (123), Chambly, Quebec, Canada

This one as medium body a bitter finish. The head is small and lasting. The citrusy notes combine with the funkiness from the Belgian yeast are very pleasant. My new favourite from this brewery. lefossoyeur (70), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 3, 2009 Hazy blonde belgian pale ale with a nice head. Floral hops on the nose, some spices, something like nutmeg, goes down very easily with its light bodied structure but with a good finish. Prety well balanced. A very decent belgian pale ale.
