Aroma of honey and clover - the taste was of grass, fresh, light, but with an increasing harshness. Very light-bodied, oddly astringent, with a weird aftertaste. Meh. Aroma is lightly hoppy with an acceptable floral nose. A bit of lemon and light spice. The flavour is quite nicely balanced. Very clean crisp pilsner malt base and a light citrusy and lemony hoppiness. The bitterness comes through pretty nicely actually. With a lingering fresh crackery sweetness. j12601 (1300), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA

On tap at Saint Bock. Pours a clear golden yellow with a medium white head. Light aromas of hops and grain. Thin bodied with a little bit of sweetness coming through. Light bitter finish, and a strange flavor that’s almost briny, and reminds me of a Kalamata olive. Not so tasty.

Appearance: dark gold with fizzy white top. Fine carbonation. Nose gentle yet quiet proper “Pilsener hop” aroma , mineral hay like with golden clean malt base. Flavor/Palate : Soft malted base , clean full –Grain character. Gentle , light yet solid hop profile. Quiet nice rendition of Bohemian pils.

Enjoyed at Mondiale 2008, at the recommendation of Fred of Hopfenstark. rederic (1811), montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 6, 2008 On tap at the Brouhaha, bright golden color, with a frothy white head, yeasty bubblegum, flowery hop saaz leafiness, with a hint of grassy spiced hop mintiness, some crisp grainy pale malt aromas follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a very nice spicy floral herbal hop saaz character, with a fresh cut hay accent, underlaying a good cleanliness, of grainy pale malt, leading towards a saaz hoppy leafy, dryness finish. Good interpretation of the bohemian pilsener style from a québec brewery.
