Strawy yellow, no lasting head. Slightly sweet gluey aroma. Taste not dissimilar. Moderate sweet light malt, with a hint of corn, and a touch of marzipan. Hops kick in for quite a bitey finish, perhaps a little harsh in the context. Covers 8% pretty well, actually quite subtle, but heading towards boring. Better than the ’malt liquor’ moniker categorisation suggests. bierkoning (4691), La Tropica, Netherlands May 13, 2008 Bottle from TBone. Grainy aroma with grapes. Blonde, no head. Grainy alcoholic flavor, rather thin. Hints of rhum. Somewaht perfumed aftertaste. Below average pale bock.
