Commercial Description:
A.Le Coq Porter is a strong dark beer that can rightfully be considered to be the successor of the world-famous "Imperial Extra Double Stout." Its mature character and perfect taste are derived from sparkling spring water and extra dark caramel-malt.

The head is small and quickly diminishing. This beer is rather bitter, and lacks according to my tastebuds totally porter quality. It’s thin like a lager or maybe partially a schwarztbier. As it grows warmer I find a hint og caramel and chocolate in the finish.

Hard to really fuck up a baltic porter for me and this is pretty decent. It has the roasted malty aroma, it is a bit sweet and has a dry end. Body could be a bit thicker and so on but I like it.

(Bottle) Pours brown. The aroma is of bready/light caramelly malt and grassy/herbal hops. The flavour is light to medium malty with tones of bread and light caramel alongside a light hoppiness. Medium sweet and light bitter. The mouthfeel is clean and watery. Light to medium bodied.

RBESG08 grand tasting
Dark red brown body, small-medium sized off white head. Sweet malty nose with a touch of alcohol. Sweet taste again, somewhat roasty maltiness. Drinkable but maybe too boring.
