chris_o (4405), London, Greater London, England Sep 28, 2005 Bottle at GBBF, August 2005. This is a famous name and, so I thought, a classic beer. It was a major disappointment. I thought I’d be getting a real authentic. Apart from the overwhelmingly doughy malt aroma what I got was a thin caramel influenced concoction without a lot of character, becoming moderately dry on the finish. Deep ruddy red colour by the way. Not unpleasant but in no way distinctive and just not what I was expecting. Next please.
Mitch_Wayne (100), Kokkola, Finland Aug 21, 2008 Hard to really fuck up a baltic porter for me and this is pretty decent. It has the roasted malty aroma, it is a bit sweet and has a dry end. Body could be a bit thicker and so on but I like it. Marsiblursi (1397), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 19, 2008 (Bottle) Pours brown. The aroma is of bready/light caramelly malt and grassy/herbal hops. The flavour is light to medium malty with tones of bread and light caramel alongside a light hoppiness. Medium sweet and light bitter. The mouthfeel is clean and watery. Light to medium bodied.

Sweet malty nose with a touch of alcohol. Sweet taste again, somewhat roasty maltiness. Drinkable but maybe too boring. Bragesnak (1151), Aarhus, Denmark Jul 5, 2008 From Superbrugsen, Aarhus, DK.
