Commercial Description:
Imperial Red is the first classical red beer in Estonia. Using a special recipe, specific types of ripe malts and caramel gives the beer its distinctive full copper colour and slightly bitter taste. Imperial Red is a true enjoyment for all beer-lovers.

(Bottled) Clear amber color with a medium, foamy and cloudy head. Mild, caramely and malty aroma with a hint of fruit. Sweetish-malty, moderately bitter, very slightly roasty flavor with a quickly fading, mildly bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied, smooth-foamy-carbonated palate. An easy-listening brew, with no risks taken - i.e. pretty boring. Basically a pale lager with some added color and an inch of roasted malt.

Bottle Big Ben bar, Tartu, Estonia. 18-05-05 Amber colour with a small white head taste ok, did not write too much about this so must have been fairly ordinary.

Coppery color with no head. Mildly sweet and caramel aroma. Thin to medium bodied. Medium carbonation in the end. Floral, sweet, mild hops in the end with mild bitterness.

Nice looking amber colour with a small off white head. Weak malty aroma with only a light grainy malty note. Sweet malty flavor with an unpleasant underlaying sourness.

(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful, dark amber colour with a small off-white head. Some vague roasted notes and an unpleasant tang of cardboard. Actually cardboard seems to be the dominating flavour. No real pleasure. 150705

Bottled. Copper coloured, white foamy head, lacing. Sweet malt with vegetably notes. Also a bit of apple in aroma. Vegetably flavour with malty and a bit fruitish notes. A bit skunky flavour too.
