I thought this was a really well done stout. Rich and creamy on the mouthfeel, with some bittersweet chocolate notes, and a hint of roasted coffee. Well rounded and not overly sweet. The strange thing is why this stout is not rated higher.

Poured black as night with a tan head. Aroma and taste of that second blessed drink, coffee. Mild, mild hint of chocolate. Palate was thin, lacking body.

Pours black with a tan head. Has a roasted coffee and faint chocolate aroma. Taste is mildly roasted and sweet, seems a little thin but not bad overall.

A nice roasted/coffee aroma and taste that poured quite dark into the glass with a creamy, solid head. On tap @ the brewery restaurant.

While among the better beers available at A1A, this beer was also under carbonated and had little aroma or flavor. It did have a moderately good mouth-feel.

Draught. Pours dark brown/black with a creamy head. Looks great. Aroma is full of dark chocolate, roasty malts, and coffee. Flavor is sweet chocolate, coffee beans, and a bit of hoppy bitterness. Manages to be, in turns, both sweet and bitter, and although the balance can be a bit strange, it’s quite enjoyable indeed.

Nice thick, black color. Slight malt on the nose. Smooth thick mouthfeel with chocolate and caramel in the taste. One of the better beers I had there.
