The body is black a with a creamy, lasting tan head. Fore is the inevitable chocolate and coffee, but it’s a little muddled and tatstes slightly unclean. Lots of charry burnt bitterness in the finish with a confection-like choco-malt/cocoa cream sweet flavor in the aftertatse. Some good elements and some not so good elements. hopscotch (5528), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Mocha aroma. The flavor is of coffee and chocolate. Moderately burnt and bitter. Lightly acidic. Medium-bodied and oily with soft carbonation. Finishes bitter, malty (caramel/toffee) and then dry. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 17, 2005 Part of sampler set at brewery. Black color with small tan head. Aroma was a medium malt and caramel tone. The flavor was roasted malt and sweet tone of a stout but seemed brewed as a more drinkable general brew. Creamy finish. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA

| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 1/20 | Dec 20, 2003 Draft at A1A in St. Augustine. This was a poor representation of a Stout in that there was no Stout aroma and a poor flavor. It had a small sized light brown head with fine-medium sized bubbles that were mostly lasting. The only aroma that I detected was that of malt. The flavor was mild coffee and it stopped there. The palate was smooth and this was a light-medium bodied beer with fair lacing. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 17, 2003 TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 52. This draft brew was enjoyed at the brewery in Saint Augustine Florida. This brew poured a very small head of mostly lasting light brown colored medium sized bubbles that left behind an opaque black colored body with no visible carbonation. The aroma was very mild with malty notes and the mouthfeel was smooth and slightly tingly. It had a weak coffee, weak dark malt flavor. Sorry Alexander Strange, but id did not live up to my level of stout goodness. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
