Aroma is malty some roast and light chocolate.
Taste, light caramel malts, with nutty palate and some chocolate.
Light in body but with some nice roastiness. Easy to drink and taste. TaktikMTL (2745), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada Mar 30, 2009 En fût. (Rating #2269) Beershine (2678), Hue, Vietnam Feb 13, 2009 Rich dark brown with thick, rocky tan head. Fresh aroma is nutty, smooth, and dry. Thin finish but it was served too cold and needed to warm to bring out the body. Medium to high carbonation. Nice nuttiness persists throughout and finishes dry. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Feb 10, 2009 Medium brown with a thin head. Nutty, slightly caramelly aroma. Caramel flavour with a slight bitterness. Dries out a bit in the finish. Decent body and balance. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Feb 9, 2009 on tap-pours a tan head and mahogany color. Aroma is roasty dark malt-chocolate, hint of fruit, earthy hops. Taste is roasty dark malt-some molasses, secodnary earthy hops bite. crowderm (275), Recklinghausen, Germany Dec 30, 2008 Brown pour, off-white head. Sweet malty aroma. Flavor was surprisingly good...caramel, nuts, brown sugar, syrup, and an odd but good yogurty quality. I don’t like many brown ales, but this one was pretty tasty. DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA Sep 14, 2008 On tap at the brewpub.Poured brown with a nice khaki head.A sweet nose of caramel and nuts.Flavor was malty, nutty, bitter sweet with a small bite on the finish. BeerVirgin72 (778), Pataskala, Ohio, USA Sep 5, 2008 Sampled at brewpub. Pour was a nice solid brown. Aroma was very much nuts and sweet malts. Flavor was roasted nuts, caramel and brown sugar. This was my favorite of their brews and was very easily drinkable. I have a hard time finding a brown ale I like. This one was it.
