Feb 13, 2007 Draft... Clear dark caramel-colored ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma is mostly of caramel with a generous helping of earthy hops thrown in for good measure. The flavor leans slightly and pleasantly on the bitter side of balance with additional notes of caramel, cocoa and toffee. Medium to full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel and mild carbonation. Finishes toasty and lightly bitter.

Mar 17, 2005 Draft. Frothy tan head over a brown color. Aroma was complex with a medium lasting tone. Flavor was a medium malt with a sweet lasting finish. Good brew maybe the best of house for style.

Nov 9, 2004 Updated: Mar 30, 2007This is a real good dark beer good flavor real smooth, caramel and roasted malts with a sweet mollasses finish, it’s my favorite beer from there and i’ve tasted them all, i get it everytime i’m in there, once or twice a week.

Jun 6, 2004 Creamy beige head with brown body. Aroma is sweet caramel, nutty. Taste is sweet, caramel, nutty, some roasty, with a hint of peat in the bitterness. Light-medium body.

Dec 20, 2003 Draft at A1A in St. Augustine. This beer's appearance was that of a small sized tan head with fine-medium sized bubbles that mostly diminished. The body was uncarbonated and opaque with a brown hue. The nose was that of some chocolate notes with a chocolate flavor. The palate was smooth and this was a light bodied beer with fair amounts of lacing. This beer needs more flavoring in it in my opinion which caused me to not rate this one very high.

Dec 17, 2003 TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 51. This draft brew was enjoyed at the brewery in Saint Augustine Florida. This brew poured a small head of fine to large sized light brown colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a uncarbonated transparent brown colored body and a fair lace. The aroma was a nice mild brown malt one and the mouthfeel was smooth bubbly and tingly from start to finish. The flavor was slightly like a brown beer but need ed more of the brown malt flavor to come out.

Jun 20, 2002 A brown ale that has wheat in it. This was the most disappointing of the three beers sampled from A1A. I am a huge fan of brown ales but the wheat beer influence was noticible and held my rating down.
