thedm (3406), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Dec 17, 2003 TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 49. This draft brew was enjoyed at the brewery in Saint Augustine Florida. This brew poured a medium sized head of fine to medium sized foamy off-white colored bubbles that left behnd a transparent red brown colored softly carbonated body and a good lace. The aroma was mild with malt and hop notes. The mouthfeel was smooth and tingly. Although mildly hopped for an APA, the flavor contained some caramel and created an earthy and a bit of a woody taste on the back of the tongue.
DragonStout (1181), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 14, 2008 On tap at the brewpub.Poured a clear copper color. Hoppy nose with a hoppy, bitter flavor.Nothing special here.Finished off hoppy and bitter. BeerVirgin72 (588), C-Bus, Ohio, USA Sep 5, 2008 Sampled at brewpub. Pour was a nice amber color. Smell was caramel and figs. Flavor was pretty much sticky pine and citrus, with a bitter hoppy aftertaste. Did not care for this at all. BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Jun 4, 2008 Floral hop aroma, with a weak and mild malt background. Not very bitter, but dry on the palate, with some very light caramel flavor, strong citrus fruits, and not much else going on. 49markan097 (9), USA does not count Apr 4, 2008 Copper to amber in apperance. This draft displayed cream colored head and lively effervescence. Lacked aroma. Citrusy notes with a bitter, unintersting hoppy after taste. Guinness4Duff (464), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA Mar 16, 2008 Pours a light copper color with an off white head. Has a strong floral aroma which is present in the taste but is a bit week. I didnt think this one was very good for an APA.
