I liked this one, has a nice bitterness to it and is very flavorful with some nicely balanced sweetness. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 24, 2008 A copper color with a rather large head. The aroma is malty but also contains quite a bit of citrus notes. This one was pretty hoppy for an amber ale. The flavor contained some caramel and citrus such as grapefruit and oranges. The finish was rather bitter. Overall a pretty darn good beer. hopscotch (5501), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 13, 2007 Draft... Lightly hazed amber ale with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. Fantastic retention. The aroma is of caramel, pine and grapefruit. The flavor is of a solid caramel or Munich malt backbone yielding to numbing, bitter hops. No residual sweetness. Full-bodied and silky with prickly carbonation. Lengthy, bitter, dry finish. Very pleasant surprise! brentfeesh (1039), Gadsden, Alabama, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 26, 2008 Sampled at Southern Brewers Festival 2008. Probably my favorite of the day. Nice amber colored brew with an off white wispy head. Hopy and crisp aroma. Mineral infused malt that is fairly roasty. Hoppy earthy flavor with notes of pine. The malt is just enough to let the hops take center stage but it also imparts a pleasant roatyness. Medium body, semi-dry. Quite nice. jcwattsrugger (5528), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Aroma is citrus-grapefruit, secondary light/medium malt-caramel. Taste is citrus-grapefruit hops with some bite, secondary light/medium malt-caramel. muenster (340), Sevierville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 16, 2007 Draught. Pours not-quite clear amber with a small head. Aroma is a bit mild, but some nice malts come though, and a bit of unexpected hops as well. Flavor has a great thick maltiness, with a good dash of hops, and some fruitiness. There’s also some almost Scotch Ale-like qualities that make this one a winner. crowderm (285), Recklinghausen, Germany
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2008 Orangish pour. Citrus hop aroma. Flavor of more citrus and peppery hops and some caramel malts. Basically an IPA. Pretty good brew. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 20, 2003 Draft at A1A in St. Augustine. This flavor of this beer reminded me more of a true Pale Ale than an Amber Ale. It had a small sized white head that contained fine-medium sized bubbles that quickly and completely dissipated. The body was softly carbonated and transparent with a red hue. The nose was hoppy with a bitter and hoppy flavor. The mouthfeel was fairly smooth and somewhat dry. This was a medium bodied beer in my opinion with sparse lacing.
