Commercial Description:
Norwegian: Aass Bayer Uten er et alkoholfritt alternativ for den som liker et mørkt, fyldig Bayer øl med en god avstemt bitterhet. Kan nytes alene og passer utmerket til de fleste matretter.

English: Aass Bayer Uten is an alcohol-free alternative for those who like a dark full-bodied Bayer beer with a delicately balanced bitterness. Can be enjoyed on its own and goes well with most dishes.

Fine amber color. Grain and malt, but there are hops in there, too, if you need an alcohol free beer, this is probably the best option.

330 ml bottle. Copper coloured beer with a big off-white head. Typical n/a beer aroma with the usual sickly "boiled" notes (baby porridge, over-boiled vegetables), also some more pleasant hints of bakery and caramel. The flavour is bland and boring, again those sickly "boiled" notes, too much sweetness. A slight bitterness in the finish. Not for me this one.

330ml bottle from Fenaknoken in Oslo. Pours a short lived, off-white head over a deep, dark-brown body. Good lacing on the glass. Smell of wort and malt. Flavours of slightly roasted grain with notes of vegetables and with moderate sweetness. Light-medium palate, but still preferable to many Norwegian lagers (04.04.2008).
