330 ml bottle. Copper coloured beer with a big off-white head. Typical n/a beer aroma with the usual sickly "boiled" notes (baby porridge, over-boiled vegetables), also some more pleasant hints of bakery and caramel. The flavour is bland and boring, again those sickly "boiled" notes, too much sweetness. A slight bitterness in the finish. Not for me this one.

330ml bottle from Fenaknoken in Oslo. Pours a short lived, off-white head over a deep, dark-brown body. Good lacing on the glass. Smell of wort and malt. Flavours of slightly roasted grain with notes of vegetables and with moderate sweetness. Light-medium palate, but still preferable to many Norwegian lagers (04.04.2008).

330 ml bottle. Clear amber body with a decent but disappearing off white head. Aroma is grainy but dominated by caramel. Flavor is sweet, distinct malty and caramel. Almost a bit like a clean malt beer (Vørterøl). It has of course a watery body, but whiteout doubt one of the better non alcoholic beers I have sampled. One bottle is OK, but have to admit it’s getting a bit monotone after bottle number two. (What a great brew to celebrate my rating no. 1001 :-) )

330 ml bottle. Clear copper-brown color. Big fluffy beige head leaving laces. Dry caramellish malts in the aroma, along with some plummy frutiness and a scent of hayish and floral hops. Clean and fresh malt taste. Fruity tones and a fine bitterness. Spritzy mouthfeel. Malty and gently bitter end. This must be top end of non-alcohol beers...

Bottle. It pours a copper body with some carbonation, and a quite nice, off-white to beige head, leaving lacings. The aroma is grainy and floral, with hay and caramel, all mixed together into something reminding me of a staple. Medium body with flavors of caramel, hay, field of flowers, some metal and hops leaving some bitterness. Long, caramel-sweet finish with a decent hop-level. Nice fruityness too. I’m probably rating it too high, but considering it’s style, it deserves an even higher rating. The first non-alcohol beer from Norway that is better than a whold lot of our pilsners and pale lagers. Way to go, Aass! (080118)

330 ml bottle. Mahogany colour. Crystal clear. Lots of bubbles rising. Tall fluffy light beige head that clings to the glass. Dry grainy, and slightly harsh, malt aroma. Not much hops in the nose. Crisp grainy malt flavours. Somewhat dry, but smooth, texture. Quite a bit of body for the type. Finish has some floral hop bitterness. Lowering the graininess a little would be a good thing. Definitely the best non-alcohol beer on the Norwegian market.

Big shiny beige lasting head. Deep dark red body. Straw and grain aroma with notes of soft floral hops and caramel. Dry floral hop taste with notes of straw. Hints of residual sweetness. Sharpish mouthfeel. Medium-bodied. Bitter floral hop aftertaste with grain notes. Just a hint of the caramel and roastiness one would expect in a "Bayer"; it’s really completely dominated by the hops, which I really like. One of the best non-alcohols I’ve had. (0.33l bottle from Meny.)
