The aroma is full, sweet and malty with chocolate notes. The taste is heavy malts with brown bread characters. A very tasty beer verging on German Doppelbock qualities rather than the sweetness of some Bocks. DerWeg (777), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pronounced maltiness ad caramel in both nose and flavour with some sweetness in a fine balance with the hops. I also detect a touch of licorice. An excellent beer. Nice tanish head lasted a little. Good full feel. Burnt, roasted malts and grains maybe even molasses. Slight hops kick. Good brew. JensenTaster (1588), Denmark

Very smooth to drink, a bit creamy, witch is a good thing in my book. Not very high carbonated and no bitter hopping tat all. Wood and a dry feeling in the finish, and theres some hopping now, just to make you have another one. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

Rather thin in flavor, aroma, and overall appearance. Still generally worthwhile.
