A fine beer that deserves its high ratings here.

Light nose, dark brown color, fresh barley malt taste - light malt extract. Somewhat sugary too. Full body and a clean palette.

traveling along a sea of creamy cherries...riding a raft of licorice root in a storm of raining cola drops..
Metallic cherry scrapings..licorice hail..smooth but thick but refreshingly not so thick..all at the same time

Sweet, malty aroma almost toffee-like. Very smooth creaminess and a clean finsh.

I liked the appearance of this beer. It is more like a dark-brown lager to me. It has a toffee like taste and a very smooth creaminess.

This stuff tastes like aass. Sorry obvious joke. This has a nice caramel malty flavor, but dissappears in my mouth. It does seem to go well with heavy food.

Re-rate: Haven"t encountered the wateriness noted below in subsequent samples. Major boost in order Beautiful garnet color with very nice dark fruit aroma framed with alcohol. Delicious bock flavors of heavitly carmelized malt. Comes up short, however. Much like ordering an ’Optimator-and-water’. Not bad, but watery palate reminds me that better dunkel bock is available.
