Candied ruby-amber look with moderate cream head and some carbonation. Small, clean chocolate malt aroma. Unfortunately, this beer has a very canny-metallic-tinny flavor to it--maybe this was from the cap--but the canny character dominated and the malt was kept subtle and secondary.

Nice Norwegian Bock, true to the style this beer is flavorful and smooth. Good clean and crisp feel in the mouth and a pleasant after taste.

Riding ’orse back, Norwegian style, you travel a good deep range of malty complexity. In a laid bock, understated way, the beer brings to mouth soft dark fruits (figs?), carmelity, and drier java edges to keep things honest and prevent cloying. A little more exotic than your run of the mill midwestern bock, so it gets points, but the taste seems less big and bold than I’d like.

one of my favorites i will take this over most german bocks i dont think anything may have changed though it seems just a bit lighter in body. beautiful maltiness well balanced seem like just a bit of licorice in the flavor which i find likeable

Thick, dark, very drinkable beer. Definitely a ’big’ beer with a lot of taste. Beautiful mixture of sweetness and hops.
