Bottle. Pours deep amber with a small, lasting, creamy, tan head. Strong aroma of dark malt and caramel. Taste is moderatly sweet and lightly bitter, dominated by malt, toffee and dark dried fruits. Surprisingly light-bodied. Very smooth and easy to drink. A nice bock.

Smuggled by TimE back from Belmont Station in Portland about 4 years ago. I hope it didn’t evolve a condom and him swallowing this. A decent bock and it meets everything the commerical description says. Page 10 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide 190 out of 500 Classic Brews to go.

Bottle. Reddish dark brown with small beige haed. Malt, yeast and a light sweetness hits my nose. Flavour is vague with sweetness dominating and a vague bitter finish. Lacking a lot of potency.

Bottle at RBESG 2006. Some nice chocolate and malt in here, but a bit weaker and waterier than I was expecting.
