I could hear the bubbles popping. Sounded like Rice Krispies. Plain malty aroma and some dusty cardboard. Butternut flavor and fizzy palate. A half-aass Vienna compared to Aass Juleol. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 29, 2003 Mellow full-bodied lager with a feel of wheat malt, even though the label says that only barley malt was used. A little darker than a regular lager. Not bad, but also not very interesting. JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA

Sour apple/lager smell with similar flavor. Very crisp with an empty lager-type finish. Tastes silimilar to a yuengling but maltier with a sour apple kick. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA

A wee bit fizzy, yet the head fades fast for some reason! Tastes darker than it looks. The color is copper-ish. Three malts do the heavy lifting (pilsner, munich and caramel), in case you give a damn. A ’classic’ indeed! One of my favorite session beers.
