Clear dark brown. Light white head. Very lightly roasty, just sugary nose. Feels like a lager in mouth, bland caramel flavour profile with the thinnest chocolate hints. Very thin and watery. Nothing stoutish about this candy of a beer.

A Mes rate: Bottle at RBESG. Translucent chestnut colour. Sweet, roasty, chocolate, very bland and not much happening.

Bottled at RBESG ’07. Dark brown. Ashy nose. Very dry with clean mouthfeel and muddled roasty malt flavours. Very subtle and understated. Low bitterness. A pale lager with some black malt?

Transparent brown/black with an OK head. The aroma is sweet and malty. The flavour is sweetish with a light bitterness and hints of chocolate, but the stout impression is very thin, and IMO it’s only interesting for beginners in this style. 2405

Pours dark brown. Dusty roasted aroma with some buttery notes. Light coffee and cocoa-ish. Buttery and roasted flavour with notes of chocolate and cocoa. Malt dry finish. Light bitter. Light to medium body.

Thanks to Aass for providing us with this attempt at making a decent stout! A little bit short and watery to be a top beer, but rich in taste (short) and looks great.

Bottled. Almost black colour. Low, brown head. Bit sweet in aroma, with hints of chocolate, without toastiness. Light flavour profile, lacking in actual flavour sensations, with barely noticed toast or chocolate. Mainly just sweet. Tannins were sensed.
