Hazy yellow colour. Light, light aroma from...yes what? 20% wheat maybe. Low on most every thinkable aromas, but also without off-flavours. Slightly bitter. Good session beer for non tasters. rlgk (3378), Vårgårda, Sweden

Golden with a small, white head.
Some light, grassy aroma.
Dry and papery palate with a hint of sweetness. Really bland and boring. ekstedt (2446), Göteborg, Sweden

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jun 18, 2007 Bottle. It pours a clear, golden with a white head. The flavor is quite grainy, but there’s also a strange fruityness, reminding of a blend of bubble-gum, sweetness and cooked vegetables. Add some wet cardboard to that, and your there. I am not sure if it even deserves a 3 for aroma, but it isn’t that bad. The flavor is quite grainy as well, but with a strange lemony fruityness to finish it. It becomes a bit better when it warms up. That’s a pity, such a beer should be enjoyed at lower temperatures than this one need. It has a quite grainy finish too, and there’s a little lemon here as well. According to the label, there’s more wheat-malt than barley-malt in the beer, but it isn’t reflected in the flavor I think. I guess Aass tried to make a wheat beer for those normally drinking the pale lagers and pilsners we normally see in Norway, why would they else go for a kristallweizen instead of a hefe-weizen? And they sell it as a gourmet-brew. A pity that is. Sorry Aass, not a lucky beer, probably not even derserving the total score of 2. (070618) Sigmund (2294), Hafrsfjord, Norway
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 14, 2007 330 ml green bottle. Clear golden colour, large white head. Grainy aroma with notes of over-boiled vegetables, nearly like a n/a beer. The flavour is somewhat better, some wheaty and lemony notes. Very moderate hops. Drinkable, but not impressive at all - a "gourmet" would ask for something better than this.
