Nov 13, 2006 Biggish shiny light brown head over clear reddish brown body with a little carbonation. Spicy, clean, faintly acidic wheat aroma with peppery notes. Taste is again spicy, clean, wheat malts with some citric acidity. Aftertaste is dry, slightly papery, wheat malts and pepper, and, in the background, a good dose of hops. This is a good beer, and without the paper it would really be something. (0.33l bottle.)

Nov 10, 2006 Bottle. Clear copper with a medium-sized head. Complex aroma of citrus meeting bready maltiness. Wheat flavours the more prominent with quite a bit of dunkelweizen character including banana and clove.Good bitterness provides a refreshingly dry finish. Light body. This must be the perfect complement to heavy Norwegian Christmas meals.

Nov 23, 2006 Bottled. Clear, amber beer with a beige head. Wheat, banana-caramel and some metallic notes in the aroma. Some spicy hints as well. The flavor is much the same, but without the metallic notes. Medium body with a bit too low carbonation level. Sweet, caramel-ish finish with some spicyness. Nice try Aass. (061123)

Nov 2, 2006 Something new from Aass, a Christmas ale brewed with wheat malt. And it works, the citrus zing from the wheat complements the sweetness from the other malt. The objection is that it is too thin and watery. a 7-8% version of this could have been a truly great beer.

Jun 6, 2008 Bottle. High creamy off-white lasting head. Clear dark brown body. Aroma of roasted mal cinamon and raisins plus a bit of caramel. Sweet caramel flavor with more acidity than expected. Relatively high carbonation and a long sweet aftertaste.
