Commercial Description:
Sweet, caramel aroma. Clean, crisp taste, and an almost dry aftertaste. Interesting and complex. Very flavorful with strong malt presence.

Served at BJ's winter warmer fest, 2002 bottle. Body is dark amber. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted light bread, caramel, nutty), moderately hoppy (herbs, flowers), with notes of peach and orange. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic, lightly astringent. Very well-balanced and clean.

Clear, brown-red with a nice and fruity alcoholic nose. Sweet, but kind of light malts. Complex fruity aromas as well. Frothy texture with a tingly, spikey carbonation. Warming in the throat, fulfilling, slightly bitter. Very dry, puckering finish.

looks pretty damn tasty..nice 3.4 inch of pure cream on top of an evil looking ruby/maroon..the aroma was a malty bready slightly spicy concoction..malty, metallic, bready flavors..no hop profile at all..just a bunch of semi-creamy malts..but it bores me.

cloudy throughout. Tons of barley in the nose, I like that familiar Aass aroma. Nice and malty, with a dry-ish finish. Sweet stuff.

Pours a dark brown color with little head. Sweet and malty, with notes of bread, biscuits, and cookie dough. Also a hint of fruity sweetness at the top. A good beer, but I’ve had better Christmas beers.

Nice color. A little skunky with a boring tobacco like aftertaste. Won’t buy again

Good, malty aroma - at first skunky - but it mellows and sort of grows on you. Kind of a thin pour with a light head. Detect a bit of chocolate undertones -reminds me of a schwarzbier as it has the taste of a stout but not the same heavy feel to them. All in a all a good solid beer.
