Complex fruity aromas as well. Frothy texture with a tingly, spikey carbonation. Warming in the throat, fulfilling, slightly bitter. Very dry, puckering finish. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 27, 2002 Good, malty aroma - at first skunky - but it mellows and sort of grows on you. Kind of a thin pour with a light head. Detect a bit of chocolate undertones -reminds me of a schwarzbier as it has the taste of a stout but not the same heavy feel to them. All in a all a good solid beer.
