Nice light amber color with a fine thick off white head. Beautiful caramel nose with light spices in the background. Rich in the mouth with a carmel, charcoal and cream flavor profile. Quite rich but a nice treat.

Bottle at RBESG grand tasting, August 2005. Rich mahogany colour. Malty stuff, with way too much caramel for my taste. On the plus side, it wasn’t too sweet and sticky. Spicing is very subtle (i.e. I found it hard to detect). Decent but unexciting. End of story.

Bottle. Red-brown with a OK head. Spicy aroma. Some caramel in the taste. A bit dull.

Bottle. Reddish-brown with a amall beige head. Roasted malt, licorice, caramel and hops in aroma. The flavor adds some alcohol to that. Sour-bitter finish and a little sticky/oily mouthfeel. As far as I can remember, this one has had better vintages. (051112)

Not at their best this year. Nice caramel colour, but a sort of port palate that leaves a sour finish.

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, dark chestnut brown with a warm tint of red. Small, of-white head. Aroma of roasted malt and caramel. Quite solid and full body. Loads of roasted malt and sweetish caramel in the flavour. Yummy indeed. 071105

Sampled at RBESG 2005. Light brown colour. Very sweet caramel aroma. A good mouthful, but a little too light flavour for a christmass beer, I think.
