Jul 14, 2008 33cl bottle from KIngdom Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a hazy caramel yellow with a thin white, creamy head that settles rapidly. Little glass lacing. Aroma is citrus, spice, lemon, yeast, fresh bread. Flavor is slightly sweet, somewhat tart with fresh fruit flavors, vanilla, bready yeast, and some subtle spiciness. Lively carbonation with a slightly sweet, quick finish.

Jun 23, 2008 Bottle with "Heylissem" on the label. A rather unexciting style perhaps, but easy to drink and quite solid. Dark golden/orange pour, and mine was quite cloudy (in contrast to some other raters’ experience). Even some yeasty bits floating around. Abundant off-white head. Yeasty, malty mild apricot nose. More of the same with a bit of spice on the tongue. Surely won’t blow anyone away, but for a solid, low-alcohol everyday Belgian, this is your beer. Perhaps a good ’food beer.’

May 19, 2008 Bottled. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty and spicy with a light note of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of spices, leading to a dry spicy finish. Somewhat boring.

Apr 30, 2008 Hazy gold with a thick white head. Yeasty, spicy nose with lots of fruity malt. A bit of hop bitterness in the end. Not bad, but rather plain for a Belgian.
