Beershine (1440), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 4, 2008 Bottle. Dark mahogany, tan fizzy head with reasonable staying power but no lacing. Thin, fizzy mouthfeel. Ginger ale, cola and generic pop-like aroma. Equally thin and flavorless body lacking texture or nuance. Mainly fizzy and malty. AmEricanbrew (1008), Swamp Shreveport, Left Coast, Louisiana, USA Jul 27, 2008 33cl bottle with a 3/28/2008 drink by date. Heylissum brune pours clear brown with a tight head. Mild aroma of dark raisons and caramel. Medium body. Nice flavor is dark raisons, rootbeer spices and is fairly sweet but not overly so. Enjoyable aged dubbel. BoBoChamp (722), Gent, Belgium Jul 27, 2008 33cl, from Geers Oostakker, easy to drink, yet complex, hazy, good head, nice brew Oakes (6973), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 23, 2008 Bright chestnut brown colour. Thin head. The aroma shows brown sugar, a sort of toasted caramel note. Fizzy and fairly thin but with decent caramel and brown sugar notes. Simple though, without fruitiness and with hardly any finish. BillKismet (1439), Seattle, Washington, USA Jun 30, 2008 Chestnut body, highly carbonated, with a too thick poofy tan-brown head. Pleasant wafts of farmhouse and light caramel rounded out by sourness. The flavor is of light caramel with some woodiness. Dryish finish. Perhaps some oxidated cardboardiness.
