Pours redish brown with a staying, frothy, off-white head. Okay lacing. Aroma is nicely spiced with some caramel. Fine, light and rather lively mouthfeel. Sweet caramel, a touch of metal off-flavours with a good, spicy dryness at the end. SledgeJr (2963), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

Earthy, vineous aroma. Fairly bland flavor. A bit chalky in fact. There’s a mild tartness at first, then lots of raisins, followed by a quick chalky finish. There’s not much to this one. Now I know why it only costs $2.89 a bottle. Grovlam (3810), Copenhagen, Denmark

Fair display of lacework. Light cloudy light brownish colour. Aroma of ice tee peach, yeast, fruit, grain. Over the palate came brown sugar, caramel, sweet fruit and light toasted malt. Quit nice Abbey Dubbel I thought. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavour light bitter and acidic. Sweet caramel like finish. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA

Aromas of carmel, spice, fruittiness and brown sugar. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, vegetal notes and hints of spice with a crisp semisweet finish. This is a very dissapointing Belgian beer! SHIG (2037), Aviano, Italy
