body is brown like bottle glass, lighter golden at edges. head is thickish foamy, medium tan. aroma is sweet caramel malt, sweet raisins and figs. a little anise aroma too. flavor is caramel malt, but then it gets metallic and some anise flavor, then bitter but not quite hoppy. very wierd for a dubbel. definately yeasty dry in the finish and aftertaste. kind of stemmy aftertaste too.

Bottle. Rich brown beer with a nice beige head. Light malty, spicy aroma. Malty, slight citric flavor with yeast and earth. Lingering citric and malt. Medium body. Citric quality takes away from what is otherwise an enjoyable beer.

Bottled, from Oasi Della Birra, Roma, Italy.
Dark brown colour but not black (light was pretty bad). Full Belgian styled head. Sticky malt flavour, lacking a little in bitterness. Not as good as the Ambree Sur Lie.

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, reddish, dark amber with a nice, off-white head that leaves some laces. Lightly vinous aroma of dried fruit and some roasted malt. Medium body with plenty of roasted malt and accents of raisins and brown sugar. Overwhelmingly dry though. Pleasant. 150906
