Put after a few tastes, it´s lowered some for me.It very bread-like in sent; malt, sweet/rotten wines. A quiet, mild alcoholnose too. But it all seems to continiue in the mout; rounded of he above, not more. Blanced, full, but simple. jfm (1694), Holbæk, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 3, 2004 Very pretty reddish brown colour, fairly small head. Definately a decent Belgian Christmas ale. Initial impression is sweet: toffee and maybe licorice. Surprisingly(?) this is decently balanced by a mild bitter finish (along with a slight acidity). Palate is quite lively. Not bad at all.
