Corked bottle with a best before date of 03/12/07. Small fizzy tan head that was mostly lasting, fair amount of lacing observed, transparent, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and a golden hue. Nose was malty, sweet, alcohol notes, hoppy, grassy, and fruity. Flavor was sweet, brown malt, semi-vinuous, and fruity. Tingly mouthfeel and mediium body. Quaffable, nicely done, would drink again even though there are better to be had of this style.

750ml bottle going by the name of Heylissem Abbey Tripel. Pours gold with a nice white head. Smells citrussy with some nice dry malt and peppery hints and some perfume as the beer warms. Tastes of lemons, straw, wildflowers, some sugary hints, touches of sage. Mouthfeel is full with a sweet sugary finish.

Looks great. Has a bit of a funny aroma. Flavor is pretty good. A nice spice that doesn’t come off too strong at all.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent typically carbonated yellow-orange colored body. The mild aroma was malty. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The thin flavor contained notes of malt and crisp. A different kind of brew yet a decent one that I would consider buying again.

Slightly hazy gold pour. Two finger head. Aroma of typical Belgian yeast and a hint of sweetness. Taste of yeast with a hint of fruit and honey like sweetness. Not complex, not amazing but not bad.

Drinking from a 750ml bottle of Heylissem Triple Blonde Sur Lie - Golden bodied, this ale begins having a tall fizzy head, but it lingers none too long. It has an aroma of honey sweet malt with a hint of sweet cherries and a soft floral bouquet. The mouthfeel is quite spritzy with a light oiliness to it. The flavor is sweet pale malt with a bit of tart oranges and a zest-like bitterness. Pretty straightforward brew, but quite drinkable, the strong ABV only showing itself once it hits the veins.

Light body for a trippel i think. Aroma of butter some fruity esters and coriander. Flavor is mainly sweet and sticky with nicely subdued alchohol notes, 9%?! Very easy to drink and pretty simpel, but they do indeed hide the alchohol well.
