| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 20, 2007 Corked bottle labeled as Heylissem Triple Blonde Sur Lie and served in my NB Worthy glass: A hazy golden hue with a fading fizzy head and minimal lace. The aroma has notes of grassy and herbal hops, sweet bread, over ripened pear and apple, ginger root, and cane sugar. The taste is mostly sweet with overtones of bready malts and candy sugar with a splash of fruity twang. There is even a note of barnyard funk around the edges. Herbal and lightly spicy finish. The mouth feel is sprite and medium-bodied, and bit mineral upon the finish. A good beer but hardly near the level of the better Tripels on the market. gunnfryd (3601), Kristiansand, Norway

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 12, 2007 caged and corked bomber labeled heylissem triple blonde sur lie best by 5/6/08 #2814 on the cork. poured a light golden in color the first glass was far more clear but the sediment landed in the second glass hazing it up a bit and leaving citrus pulp bits in the beer, head was one finger at it’s height leaving a layer of white foam on the surface. aromas of yeast, mild citrus, malt, wheat, and some herbs. flavor is mid mouth feel, crisp wheat, malt and some sweetness. finishes with carbination and a light bite. it is a pumped up blonde in flavor and style, the 9% is very well hidden, and it is very easy to drink. this is a well crafted beer, if i am going to drink a blonde (not my favorite) this is what i would look for. 5000 (2455), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 9, 2007 Bottle: Pale Golden, slight haze, thin sudsy white head, dies quickly, sparce lacing, very light carbonation. Soft floral and
bright bready nose. Minor citrus like presense. Thin on the tongue, soft breadiness, miniscule floral and citrus aspects.
Tripel Light maybe. Otherwise not living up to the style. Thin body, moderate mouthfeel. Falls off at the finish.
This one is all up front, and it doesn’t have a lot up front either. Watered down maybe... and for a 9% Tripel it does seem as if it
is not hefty enough. Fairly bland and boring, but not bad. Just not interesting enough.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 3, 2007 Caged corked 750 ml. bottle, blurb and temperature serving suggestion on the back label, plus a best before date on top of the barcode (05/06/08, No 2814 on the cork). Sampled in a tulip glass. Sediment is visible in the bottle.
Poured an cloudy orangey straw golden with a rocky white head that slowly receded into a thin creamy foam lacing, small amount of laced sticking. A promising start for this ale.
A haystack aroma along with sweet pale malts and biscuits. Traces of earthy spice, herbs and clove-like licorice flavored alcohol.
For a tripel, tastes more like a bland blonde ale. Dry hay and straw, earthy spices, sweet pale malts and white sugar, the clove flavor is really slick on the tongue, lingering in the aftertaste. The alcohol is barely noticeable, takes on a sweetish clove flavor. Ample carbonation gives an creamy airiness to the light body, but even though I gave this a careful pour, the bottle sediment gives off a distracting chalky feel in the mouth.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 31, 2007 Bottle, 75cl corked. (8%?) Clear, golden pour, topped by an off-white head. Sweetish aroma, with pale malt, spice notes and sugar. Sweet flavor with pale malt and sugar, finishing quite malty. Medium to full body, with a nice co2 level. It has a quite nice blend of hops and malt, but is maybe a bit on the sweet side, but I enjoyed it. (070928)
