(750ml Heylissem Triple bottle, best by 30/05/08) Large off-white head that mostly diminishes, atop cloudy apple juice body. Aroma is moderately sweet, banana, some clove, light bubblegum. Taste is moderately sweet, candied orange, some alcohol, clove, light lemon. Soft and effervescent medium-full body.

I’m surprised to see ratings so low for this one ~ maybe I’m the one that got the good bottle. Pours blond / gold with a large white head and moderate lively carbonation. The aroma has pale malt, light yeast, butterscotch (but in a good way), candi sugar, pepper and plums. Medium body with lots of gently mouthfilling carbonation. The flavor starts fruity and peppery with quite a bit of earthy yeast and plummy notes - drier than normal for the style. The finish has a hoppy bite and is very clean. This hides the 9% amazing well. Thumbs up for this beer & quite the deal for $5.99 / 750.

Thanks to jasonmech77 for sharing this 750... Appears a semi-transparent light gold with a small white head that fades into a mild cap. Spotty lacing is left around the glass. Smell is of tropical fruit salad, caramel, citrus, spice, and lightly grassy. Taste is of the mentioned aromas with a light bubble gum flavor coming through in the flavors. Mouthfeel is fizzy, semi-sweet, and spicy with bubble gum lasting to the semi-dry finish.

Bottle. Thaks to kkearn for giving me the bottle. Pours a clear golden body with thin head. Aroma is faint spices, yeast. Flavor is crisp spices, light hops, yeasty. Very bland taste.

750ml bottle shared courtesy of jasonmech77 (Heylissem label). Poured a lighter and clear yellow color with a small sized white head. Aromas and tastes of citrus, spices, and fruity. Some yeast. I wrote down that I found this one to be ’boring’. Fizzy and carbonated body.

Poured a clear golden color with a small, white head that diminished quickly, leaving no lacing on the glass. Aroma of ginger, coriander, citrus, clove, DMS, and light banana. Taste was yeasty, with some citrus, orange peel, and alcohol. An uninspiring tripel.

Thnaks to jasonmech77 for sharing this. Pours a translucent golden/yellow with a bubbly white head. Aroma of bubblegum, lemon, grassy and malty grains. Flavor of Belgian yeast and spices, some lemon, bubblegum and overall on the thin side.
