Smells a bit off but I am sure my bottle is past its prime. I have not tasted it yet.. There is some roasty tones to the nose with some plum fruit. Also a fair amount of earthiness to it.. Pours brown not murky and not see through, just brown. A off white head is lasting for a bit. High amount of carbonation to it with a slightly more medium body fell to it. crisp but to tart finish. At first sip I did not like the flavor but the more I get into the beer it changes with every sip. It has a strong fruity tartness to it. A lot of malt backbone. Some molasses coming through as well Headbanger (1595), Aurora, Illinois, USA

Aroma of malt, caramel, and hops. Taste of the same with some fruits, malt, caramel, and spices. This medium to full bodied brew is pretty tasty and it hides the alcohol pretty well. Not a good definition of a trippel but still good. Skinnyviking (4170), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 12, 2009 Bottle. High fluffy and lasting light brown head. Clear dark red brown body. Roasted barley malt aroma with caramel. Rather sweet. Very sweet caramel roasted malt nut flavor with low carbonation and a short sweet aftertaste. Little hops bitterness. Alcohol well hidden. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 3, 2009 Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Moderate malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter fruity flavor. Week nice chocolate notes. Long great finish. Oily palate. More BSA than trippel. JanVittrup (151), København V, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 20, 2009 Dark tripple? Odd. Nice head, deep brown body. Aroma of yeast and winegum(!)
Thin, but sparkling. Quite fresh, a bit sour/mouth watering. Hard to believe it holds 8%.
Some spices and fruits rumishing around in there, but the water and carbonation keeps it unpronounced.
Quite symphonic transition from middle tone to aftertaste. Ends somewhat dry.
Fresh but spicy makes an interesting thirst quencher. But not a very interesting one.

Pours deep red-brown with a fine, frothy, off-white head. Fizzes away slowly. Aroma is sweet, lots of raisins and plums, some yeast, metallic edge and some biscuity malts. Highish carbonation with a very fine mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, some chocolate maltiness, fine fruitiness. Just a bit of a metallic edge. A very different tripel, but quite nice.
