Pours with a crystal clear, amber body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. IT’s sweet and malty with notes of arnge zest and spice, as well as bisuity notes. Meidum bodied and highly carbonated.

Dark reddish amber, large head with small bubbles, lasting head and good lacing. Aroma is unpleasant, somewhat oxidized. Darker fruit, sugar and yeast come into play. Medium to light body, again oxidized and somewhat sweet, but overall not enjoyable. This is a Tripel?

Bottle from Kingdom Liqour. Poured hazy brown with an large frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeasty sweet aroma. Medium body. Medium complex bittersweet citrus flavor with a medium bittersweet and small alcohol finish of moderate duration.

Corked bottle "Heylissem" and served in NB Worthy glass: Mahogany brown with a fading off-white frothy head but there was some spotty lace left behind. The aroma has notes of fig, prune, blackberry esters along with caramel and toffee, Belgian candy sugar, anise, ginger, and dark breads. Smells a bit like a fruit cake. The taste is happily not as sweet as I feared. While the malt and fruity notes are noticeable there is also a note of sourness and spice with adds to the balance and complexity. Additionally there is an overall earthy quality I really dig. The mouth feel is lively and warming with a slightly dry finish.

This is either a 1) Dubbel on steroids 2) A dark Tripel or 3) a weaker sibling of a Quadrupel. Maybe it should just be listed as an BSA. A really nice beer anyway you look at it.

75 cL, bottle says 8%. Pours a deep, dark brown with highlights of mahogany, tan head lasts a while. Aroma is interesting and inviting, with tart cherries covered in dark chocolate, prunes, a little coffee. Mildly sweet flavor with a light dusting of bitterness, good balance, with just a faint rye-like sourness in the back. Not overly lively, medium body. Pretty impressive.

Pours deep clear amber into a Trappist glass. Tan head quickly subsides to skim surface. Caramel, date and fig aromas. Upfront juicy fruit and bubbly. Lasting dry fruit finish.

0.33 l bottle, 8 %. Mahagony color with thick beige head. Sweetish somewhat heavy aroma with vinous, toffeish and berryish notes as well dark caramel. Sweet, malty, toffeish and caramelly flavor with plums, figs, raisins and licorice. Chewy mouthfeel.
