A deep red beer with small light disappearing head. The aroma is sweet with notes of black currant, cherries, and hints of wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of wood, berries, prunes, the alcohol running over the tongue, and a dry woody end. The body is a little thin, especially considering the 9% ABV.

(Bottle 75 cl) Reddish amber, presumably clear and filtered. Nice, beige head which collapses rather quickly. Fusty smell and lots of yeast. Slight vinous touch. Also yeasty flavours and some earthy notes. Roasted malt, some caramel and some candi sugar - not excessively sweet though. But the carbonation is a bit too much. A dark Tripel? That’s rather unusual. 160705

Bottled. Clear amber. Neutral aroma. Sweet with clean mouithfeel, notes of yeast and a dryish finish. Incredibly neutral for a Belgian ale, what did they do with all flavours?

33 cL bottle. Pours dark orange to brown, hazy, with a creamy off-white head. Mild yeast fruity aroma. Light caramel flavour in the first flavour impression, followed by a mild sweetness and then a mellow yeasty fruity and mellow flavour before the finish. Smooth and nice. Light yeasty and caramel sweet finish with a mild spice note in the far finish. Smooth and creamy lasting mouthfeel.

Amber color; poor head retention. Malty, good Strong Belgian Ale; maybe a bit thin and overaged.
