The aroma is sweet with notes of black currant, cherries, and hints of wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of wood, berries, prunes, the alcohol running over the tongue, and a dry woody end. The body is a little thin, especially considering the 9% ABV. Papsoe (14997), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 17, 2005 (Bottle 75 cl) Reddish amber, presumably clear and filtered. Nice, beige head which collapses rather quickly. Fusty smell and lots of yeast. Slight vinous touch. Also yeasty flavours and some earthy notes. Roasted malt, some caramel and some candi sugar - not excessively sweet though. But the carbonation is a bit too much. A dark Tripel? That’s rather unusual. 160705 omhper (12229), Stockholm, Sweden

Sweet with clean mouithfeel, notes of yeast and a dryish finish. Incredibly neutral for a Belgian ale, what did they do with all flavours? yespr (12184), Copenhagen O, Denmark
