Jerre (1423), Waregem, Belgium Jul 31, 2007 Bottle, 37,5 cl. @ Delirium café.
Dark golden color, medium white head.
Aroma is sweet, spicy, hoppy, and bit malts. Medium body. Taste = a good bitterness, a little spices, warm alcoholic (label says 5,2 %, but tste is like it have 8 %) For me it’s very good !
JorisPPattyn (4623), Antwerpen, Belgium Jul 21, 2008 Slight gushing to good, dense & persistent dirty-yellowish head over straw-ochre beer, hazy, very well-carbonated, and leaving classic lace. Utterly malty nose, caramel, summer grain, sweet but with a distinct natural, honeyish aroma. Dry-grainy, malty without (much) sweetness, slight cardboard flavour, stale hazelnut oil, but all in all decent. There is a difficult to pinpoint, but undeniable light bitterness. Quite reasonable balance, palate doesn’t suffer from the cardboard flavour anymore. Pretty good beer, certainly for such a light one. Used to be different, stronger (6.5%), probably akin to the Double Enghien series, today my guess is unfiltered Super 64. skortila (2476), Bunnik, Netherlands Jul 8, 2006 (Tap) Aroma is hoppy and slightly fruity. Clear yellow coloured with a lasting, medium, white head. Taste is fresh, bit sweet and a decent bitterness.
