Maria (3975), Thisted, Denmark Mar 4, 2007 Light amber, modest head with OK lace. The aroma is light and fruity. The flavour is neither quite as sweet nor quite as acidic as most blonds and it is rather thin in the body. It has notes of hops, flower and fruit, and in spite of it’s lightness it’s OK.
Jerre (1347), Waregem, Belgium Jul 26, 2008 Yesterday @ home, bottle, 33cl. (bought Bierloods)
Almost clear golden color, with white head.
Aroma sweet, malts, bit spice.
Medium body.
Taste is close to Tongelo blond my opinion. Sweet malts, fruit notes, little hopsbitterness.
DruncanVeasey (1612), Burbage, Leicestershire, England Jun 26, 2008 Lagery and lacy. Appealingly fruity Belgian snout initially suggesting apple, peach, orange…then the grassy/almondy Special Brew fumes kick in. Grass, rubber and marzipan in the mouth. FAR too much alcohol and little else to back it up at 6.3%. Nasty alcohol bitterness to finish, a lick of stale papery malt. Seriously unimpressive. omhper (10438), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 16, 2007 Bottled. Clear deep golden. Papery and somewhat resiny. Sweet with clean mouthfel and medium body. Syrupy and a bit mushy, unstructured and messy. Notes of pineapple and grass. Wim (751), Turnhout, Belgium Aug 25, 2007 yellow coloured with a lot of carbonation body with a average white head a light sweet spicy aroma a sweet hoppy taste and a sweet hoppy finich Bart (1364), Vosselaar, Belgium Aug 21, 2007 Golden blond coloured beer with ferm carbonation and a large white head.
