Overpriced sample at the Mondial from 330 ml bottle. Light molasses color, near-opaque with a lasting wisp of beige frosting...caramel, yeast and rough hints of tobacco in the sharp zesty nose...sweet brown sugar in the body spiced by licorice, more tobacco and a touch of musty yeast...tasty though simple.

Clear dark dark brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, brown sugar, raisin - dryed plum notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (040708)

Jun 26, 2008 Deep ruby pour rocky with beige. Marzipan and rubber aroma, with sticky dark fruit and candy sugar. Sweet and boozy with the merest hints of roast and yeast extract. Sodden with marzipan, but more palatable than the Blonde. Sub-standard, overly boozy bruin.

Feb 10, 2008 [Tasting @ yespr] Hazy brown with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with ripe fruits and roasted malt. Same goes for the slightly sour flavor.

Feb 9, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with an amber hue and a collapsing tan head. Dried fruity, slight spiced and light malty. Overripe fruity flavour, medium sweet and solid caramel malt note. Ends sweet caramel and fruity.

Feb 8, 2008 Bottle.[Tasting session @ yespr, thanks for a great evening Jesper] Huge beige creamy head that mostly lasted. Excellent lacework. Dark mahogany colour. Aroma of caramel, yeast, hint of chocolate and mix of fruit. Light to medium bodied with a thin texture and an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavour with light acidic. Light caramel sweet finish.
