Commercial Description:
This beer is brewed with malt which is slightly roasted, this gives the beer a delicate taste of caramel. Abbaye de St Landelin is a strong beer appreciated for its roundness and its creamy flavour.

Bottle, 70cl. Pours an orange beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is sweet and caramel. The flavor is caramel and slight notes of hops. The palate is sweet, and the carbonation level is high. Overall a good beer but plain.

75 cl bottle at home. Clear brown copper color, fine beige head. Aroma is fruity, a bit citric, yeast and some alcohol. Flavor is caramel malt, fruit, yeast and some bitterness. A bit too sweet? Belgian, yes, but not the balance and complexity you expect from this kind of beer.

Copper color with a foamy white head. Yeasty aroma with strong notes of alchohol. Sweet caramel and sugery sweet flavor, again with strong alchohol notes. Feels stronger than it is, but its a decent brew. Like a mild barley wine.

Flaske. Sød og gæret i næsen på en orange øl. Meget sød i smagen med en god maltbase. I det hele taget en fin drikbar øl, men intet specielt her.

(on bottle) Dark amber-brown beer, big, beige head. In all aspects a nice little beer, with non of the complexity a belgian beer should hold, in turms of esters. A part from that it´s mediumroasted and with a pleasenat, rounded finish. rather spritzy for 6.5%

Bottle. Rated on my cellphone behind the back of a bunch of non-rating friends hence this poor rating (note to self: re-rate this one more thoroughly)
