First beer at the Great Decatur Beer Tasting Festival in Georgia on 10/18/08. This one is a winner. Golden in color and a yeasty nose. The flavor was dominated by yeast and light fruit, apple, pear and citrus. Dry finish. Listed here as a Biere de Garde, but reminded me of a Saison.

750 ml bottle from Beverage Warehouse in Winooski, VT (November 2008), served at cellar temperature in a Duvel glass. Big fluffy lasting head laces generously when it fails atop the translucent amber-gold body....grassy, initially pil-like fresh aroma on more exploration offers some funkiness, but also a touch of skunk-like unpleasantness....the body is moderately sweet to start, some tart notes coming in midpalate, with a lightly sour, milky character towards the finish, a bit of vegetal character....I get the feeling that the wheat and especially the rice did not favor this beer; on the whole, so-so.

(750ml bottle, BB 03/28/09) Pours a clear golden body with a medium-sized off-white head that quickly diminishes. Aroma of apple, caramel, hay, alcohol, metallic, black pepper, and mustiness. Flavor of alcohol, yeast, caramel, and apple.

Nice beer. Pours a brite light orage amber color. Head is fluffy and lingers. Not sure why this beer wasn’t bottle conditioned. Not as much carbonation as I’d expect from a BdG. Nice hop spiciness. Tart fruit and a slight funkiness. Overall, a good beer.

Bottle 33. This is a typical Belgian style beer. Good triple blond beer very sweet, quite similar to a Duvel but more fruity.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. US bottle at 8.0% ABV. Clear golden body with a tight white head that leaves a fair amount of lacing. Aroma of hay, caramel, pepper and apple. Taste is a little light struck or skunky, with dry fruits, caramel and kind of sugary. Lively carbonation.

Bottle thanks to Bu11zeye. Pours a clear gold with white head. Aroma of apple. Flavor was actually kinda boring, very faint apple and signs of caramel. Mouth feel is light body, high carbonation. Overall, I thought this was kinda boring in flavor....kinda bland.
