Golden pour with white head. Somewhat stinky aroma, some soapiness and lavender. Flavor ids pretty sweet wiuth some lemony and herbal grassy notes. This is just a pretty boring beer with a real lack of flavor.

Pours light whiskey colored with some white froth on top and large carb. bubbles. Funky, cheesy, german hop aroma...kinda odd. Very light herbal flavors and quite sugary. Not much bitterness from the hops as the aroma would indicate, just a lot of sugar without much flavor. Average body and a little bit sticky.

Bottle (BB May/09). Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, bread, husks), lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs), lightly yeasty (cobwebs, mold), with notes of banana, alcohol, dried pineapple. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Substantially better than the Goudale, but still a bit husky/rough. Fairly straightforward aroma, but all ingredients are quite apparent and as a result the husky malt can be overlooked in light of the balance and harmony...pleasant interplay of bread, floral hops, and tropical fruit esters. Nice fluffy mouthfeel too, despite not being bottle conditioned. This is on the verge of being very good.

Canned(500ml). -Golden coloured, small white head, some odd light caramel and water melon nose. Very sweet malty, light wheaty and mild fruity taste. Subdued alcohol and light spicy finish. Pretty boring biere de garde.

Pour is clear golden with a big bubbled white head...smell is spicy with some ginger and coriander and sweet too (with ome toasty notes)...taste is musty and sweet with hints of coriander...something seems stale or off in this....

(Bottled) Clear golden-amber with almost no head. Aroma of honey-caramely malt, some saisony tartness, and mildly alcoholic fruitiness. Very fruity, caramely-malty flavor with well-hidden alcohol and hints of yeast. Medium-bodied, slicky palate with low carbonation. Actually a very nice, strong and fruity example of the style.

Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured clear copper with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate sweet citrus spicy aroma. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Medium citrus sweet flavor with a medium citrus sweet finish of moderate duration.

Bottle... Clear golden ale with a small, creamy, eggshell head. Good retention. The nose is of pale and pilsner malts and cereal grains with a surplus of wild herbs thrown in. Full-bodied and creamy with tingly carbonation. Sweet, herbal and grainy flavor with moderate hop and subdued alcohol bitterness. Sweet, grainy finish.
