Bottle from Tbone, thanks! Blonde. Dusty, grainy citric aroma. Grainy, alcoholic flavor with apple and citrus. Pineapple in the aftertaste. Tasty enough, but could be better.

75cl bottle from Publix Supermarkets (Tampa, FL). Pours a hazy dark amber with a massive white fluffy and foamy white head that settles slowly and heavily laces the glass. Aroma is sweet with notes of lemon and citrus, spice, honey, hint of chocolate and malt. Flavor is sweet and malty with a very smooth character. Notes of honey, caramel, hints of pepper and spice with a well hidden phenol. Generally light-bodied with a slightly sweet finish.

Fruit-malty aroma with vegetables and alcohol. Flavor is malts, some fruits, vegetables, grassy hops and spices. Quite light bodied and warming mouthfeel.

330 ml bottle. Golden yellow colour, decent-sized white head. Bread-like malty aroma, with some wheat and fruits. Citrus, pear and apple are detectable in the malty flavour. Alcohol warmth and some hoppy bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is smooth but a little thin.

750 mL swing-top, another for those $11-for-$4 run-out deals from Sahara. Best by 05.28.09. Yeasty, dusty nose with brightly fruity and vaguely woody notes. Highly-carbonated, clear caramel-colored pour with a dense and creamy off-white head. Taste is earthy and primarily yeasty, but gentrified, light citrus and wood with a nice light fruity profile. Little spicy kick from the hops. Dryish with faint caramel. Smooth, dense medium body and a dusty end, well-concealed alcohol but warms gently and has a weighty presence after the pear kicks in. Honey, wheat, light orange rind, pepper, grain, and pale malt base. A lot going on here, and somewhere between a Saison and a bière de garde. Makes me happy.

330 ml bottle. Finland. Golden colour. Very enjoyable aroma. The flavour gets better when the beer gets warmer.

A me questa birra è piaciuta, al contrario della Goudale! Mi è piaciuto soprattutto aroma: delicato, dolce, complesso a sufficienza, molto appetitoso fra i migliori nasi che ho potuto notare in bières de garde.
