Pours a clear golden with a big dense white head that hangs around for a while leaving decent lacing. The aroma is very bready with some toasted grains and corn on top of the subtle Belgian yeast. Maybe some spices in the nose as well. The taste mirrors the aroma with toasted grains and spices along with a little alcohol presence coming through in the finish. There is a sweetness that grows as the beer warms. The mouthfeel is smooth and clean with a slightly dry finish. An interesting beer that didnt stand out in any way for me. dnas2 (655), Yelverton, Devon., Devon, England

Cereals and wood in the mouth. Malty but not sweet and not particularly dry. liinis (722), Helsinki, Finland

Clear deep golden color, small white head. Strong aroma of leather in the nose with some hops and fruity tinge. Very carbonated, lively mouthfeel. Flavor has spices (black pepper), tropical fruits and leather. Finish is quite alcoholic. Aftertaste has some bitter hops together with alcoholic warming feeling. A bit thin. Quite simple, but someway drinkable. This is not really a biere de garde, but closer to strong Belgian ales. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 12, 2008 Pours a richer macro yellow with an average white head. The nose is sweet, but not disgustingly so, a bit of soap, a small hint of floral hops. Not too assertive. Creamy mouthfeel, rich, the best part about this beer. Sweet caramel to toast with again, something soapy like in the nose, perhaps the light hosp. A bit of pepper, some slight hint of alcohol, a bit of toast. Lingering sweetness with slight pepper. Not a terrible beer, but I wont likely drink this again. oh6gdx (9115), Vasa, Finland
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 9, 2008 Bottled, from Alko. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruits, earth, mild metal as well as some slight malts. Flavour is fruits, yeast, some spices and also quite earthy notes. Mild alcohol in the finish. As it gets warmer it gets melted rubber in the aroma, as well as the mild metallicness gets quite much stronger. Flavour stays quite the same when warming up. FatPhil (3483), Espoo, Finland

Simple almost lagery malty aroma, touch of zingy hops. Pleasant carbonation. Simple soft malty taste. touch of citrus and spice. OK hops. An interesting balance between the sweet and the dry. A touch alcoholic, and a bit too simple to really excite.
