750 ml corked bottle, bought at Systembolaget, Sweden. ABV is 7.5%. Clear very pale golden colour (like a continental pilsener), big and lasting white head. Very moderate aroma, some spicy, fruity (banana) and yeasty notes. Fizzy and peppery mouthfeel. The flavour is distinctly spicy / peppery, on a background of fruity sweetness. The ABV is not particularly well hidden. Okay beer, but I hoped for something even better.

Hazy pale yellow color with a fluffy white head which leaves a thick lacing. Sweet fruity aroma with hints of banana, honey and yeast. Sweet flavor of bananacandy, vanilla, honey and yeast. Too much alcohol coming through in the finish.

Bottle that I picked up from Carrefour, Calais. Consumed at West Runton Campsite, North Norfolk. 13-06-09. Pours very pale gold with a white head and medium carbonation. This is quite heavy on the malt and alcohol though not entirely unlikeable. Gassy in the mouth, little bit chemically tasting at times, rough around the edges but for all it’s faults its fine. Corked and caged 75 cl bottle:
Pours pale golden, almost green-ish with a slight haze. The head is small. Spicy, yeasty alcohol aroma. Yeasty and spicy flavour with too much alcohol. This beer really wants to be Duvel but is not even close.
