But the sweetness nearly made me stop drinking it. If it hadn’t developed all the nice esters it would be like drinking unfermented wort. Just not me type of beer for christmas...
A year has passed. Forgotten I had rated it so I had another. Which was just as bad. Aroma chanced from 8 to 4 and overall from 9 to 7. Grovlam (3810), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 6, 2006 Bottle. Amber like unfiltered color with a little quickly disappearing head. Defiantly some Christmas Aroma over this beer. Thinks it was cinnamon, but also some citrus, spicy and hoppy notes to it. I thought it was light-medium bodied with a reasonable bitter-sweet balanced finish. Did feel it had some metallic aftertaste as well. Maybe it was not served at the correct temperature….could be.
