Commercial Description:
Blanche des Honnelles (1991) was originally very localised, and has since expanded beyond the boundries of the greater and lesser Honnelle rivers, from which it takes it's name. The Blanche des Honnelles leaves the beaten path somewhat. It has an amber colour which is after all the traditional appearance of the Blanches. It is also stronger (6%) than the Blanches that we know. Its taste is surprising and is not comparable to the brews with the same name that are now on the market. If the bouquet is subdued its first flavour is a stark dry sharpness against a pepper background. There is no acidity in this Blanche that is made with three cereals (barley, wheat, oats). It has a stimulating taste, leaving a subdued but refreshing final impression. Lots of character and curious.

750 ml. Bottle. The beer pours a cloudy orange/pale color with a creamy white head and lacing. The aroma is of the apple and oranges with a mild spicy note as well. The same fruit and spice notes come through to the flavor with a nice tart back ground finish it with a mild bitterness that goes well the the tartness. Well balance spices as well nothing is overdone in this beer. This is a well made beer.

750ml bottle, uncorked. Delicious white beer. One of the best. Mellow, creamy taste...with a perfectly spiced background. The 6% Abv is barely noticeable. An awesome, original white beer.

Hazy yellow. At first creamy nice head but it soon sinks down. Banana and yeast in aroma. Flavor is fruity and sweert. Good malty. Little pepper, but not to much.

10 years ago whe taste this beer a first time @ the brewery self. Fieuw times re-tasted. Bottle, 33 cl. (@ home bought by Willems) And 75 cl. Vanden Bussche. For me possibly, the best wit I have tried yet. Light amber color, with a creamy white head. Aroma lovely spicy, with citrus, yeasty. Medium to full body. Taste is nice but complex light sweet, coriander and a pallet of other spices. Very good character, bitter and a light hop bitterness. This is heaven: what a great whitebeer !

33 cl bottle: poured golden yellow with a thick white head. Fruit and yeast dominate the aroma albeit mildly. Nothing big about this beer. Thirst quenching flavor that is well balanced with just a touch of alcohol bite. Mild fruitiness. Very nice.

Pours with a thick foamy head. Sour notes. A thin body with little aftertaste. A little disappointing in comparison to other offerings by this brewer.
